Fred Casia

Fred Casia, a Canadian born Filipino, is a graphic designer, animator, director, producer, illustrator and visual artist from Montréal. He has worked on award winning documentary and animated productions with the NFB including Wild Life, The Fruit Hunters, Ever Deadly, If I Was God, What Rhymes with Toxic, The Orchid and the Bee, as well as the stereoscopic animated short Marvin Parson’s Inner Wild Wilderness, as part of Hothouse 6. Recently, Fred has worked with Moment Factory to create animation for the band Phish at the Sphere Las Vegas, and by National Geographic and Disney to create animation for the documentary Blink, directed by Ed Stenson & Daniel Roher. Many of the projects he works on these days are through his freelance company Momunit, and through the boutique animation studio Picnic Dinner, working with long time collaborators and co-founders James Braithwaite and Darren Pasemko.
